Hello! I'm Maximilian Mackeprang.

I am a Software Developer and HCI Researcher; Currently, I am working as a senior software engineer for Deutsche Post DHL Group.

I'm a full stack developer with a focus on Java-Development using Spring-based microservice architectures. At DPDHL I work on the userdata infrastructure for the "digital letter announcement" service (german link) This service is currently used by over 1.5 million people, making maintaining the backend an interesting challenge.

During my time at MOTOR-TALK, I developed the push-notification backend for their mobile app. You can see some open source projects I did during my time at the HCC on the project page.

I'm very interested in Clojure and the surrounding ecosystem. I have developed several small frontends using re-frame and used Clojure to build the Kaleidoscope App backend.

My research interest lies in the fields of Human-Computer-Interaction and Creativity-Support-Tools and is to explore, how and when we can use computer technology to help people in creative problem solving. During my time at the HCC I helped start the Innovonto Research Project
